Our theme title this half term is Beside the seaside therefore we will consider and research all about the seaside in the Victorian times. During this half term we will identify the weather patterns as well as seasonal changes in the UK. In addition, we will be creating our own seaside paintings inspired by Stanley Spencer. Whilst doing this painting we will be developing our skills to create textures and colour mixing.
During this half term we are looking closely at weather and seasonal change. We will be observing the changes in weather throughout the different seasons. We will also be recording the positioning of the sun throughout the day.
In Key Stage 1 we celebrated World Book Day by having a variety of exciting activities to do throughout the day! Throughout these exciting activities we were able to make a French book, complete a character hunt based on traditional tales and we went around school using the iPads to take photographs and created captions for these. We also designed a pair of underpants and acted out scenes from the story 'Aliens love underpants'. as well as making Teddy Bear Toast.
In English we have been reading the story 'Not Now, Bernard'. We worked in pairs to act out the different scenes of the story. Here are a few for you to look at..enjoy!
